Dr. Carolyn Smith has lived over a decade with combined groups of mental disorder. Through her living, writing, and teaching she has made herself available to an unchanging and faithful God to be used as a positive voice for hopefulness in this forever changing and uncertain world. Carolyn holds two Masters Degrees one, in Special Education and another one in Counseling/Psychology along with a doctoral in Philosophy with a Specialization in Human Services. For nearly 19 years; three days a week Carolyn has volunteer her service as a patient advocate at Baptist Memorial-Hospital-Golden Triangle. Dr. Smith is the author of: The Impact of Religion and Spirituality in the lives of African American Women: A generic Qualitative Study published by ProQuest LLL (2013) which can be read on Google Website. Currently residing in Columbus, MS with her husband Kenneth Smith, together the couple has five children and seven grandchildren. She is a Sunday school teacher at South Side Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rayfield Evins, Jr.
